If you catch my drip

I was the kid who didn't mind getting sticky. My sister, on the other hand, wouldn't
eat anything that was likely to melt or drip. That's probably why dogs always liked
me best.

Listen up, Sis, here's a new invention you're going to love. It's called Drip Catcher.
It's basically a pop-up sponge that slips over the stick of a Popsicle and soaks up
drips. It will expand to hold an entire Popsicle and keep kids clean.

You can order Drip Catchers online at www.dripcatcher.com. They come in a bag
of six for $1.99 or a bag of 24 for $6.95. They can be ordered with custom logos
and designs printed on them, so plan ahead for summer birthday parties.

DripCatchers are one-of-a-kind compressed sponges that catch messy drippings
from frozen treats on a stick, such as Popsicles and ice cream bars. No more
sticky hands and arms! The DripCatcher simply slides onto the stick of a frozen
treat and soaks up all the melted drippings, expanding as it takes in more liquid.

Each DripCatcher can soak up an entire frozen treat all by itself. DripCatchers are
100 percent non-toxic and child-safe and come in both blue soccer ball and yellow
butterfly designs. Custom orders (including logos printed on the DripCatchers) are
also available.

Cost: $1.99 per bag of six, online at www.perfectlysafe.com or at retail stores
nationwide; for more information: www.dripcatcher.com

Just in time for this and other festivals and street fairs, a new item has come on
the market that should help keep the youngest festival-goers a little neater -- a
DripCatcher. The item is basically a super-compressed sponge that fits on any
frozen treat stick handle to prevent drippings getting on a child's hands or
clothing. Each one has the capacity to soak up an entire popsicle if need be.
DripCatchers retail for $1.99 for a bag of six and can be purchased online at

DripCatcher
What it is: A compressed disk-shaped sponge.
What it does: Keeps youngsters' hands from getting overly sticky while eating
frozen treats such as a Popsicle. The sponge has a slit in the middle that allows
you to slip it onto a frozen treat stick and scootch it up to the bottom of the treat.
Kids rarely eat a frozen treat as fast as it melts so, as the treat melts, the liquid is
caught and soaked up by the DripCatcher. The sponge, with a diameter of 2 1/2
inches, starts out one-sixteenth-inch thick and expands up to three-eighths inches.
Price: $1.99 for a package of six.

Where to buy: Online at
www.perfectlysafe.com.

This is one of those inventions where you go: why didn’t I think of that? These are
simply compressed sponges with a hole in the middle. You stick the thing on a
popsicle handle and viola! No drips. The sponge inflates as the popsicle melts
onto it. Kids will get a kick out of the expanding Drip Catcher and you’ll be happy
because you won’t find sticky smudges all over your floors a few hours later. (...)
next month the Leaps and Bounds catalog will start carrying them but until then
you can only get ‘em at www.PlaySafe.com.
